LASER MARKING
Digital marking is now a reality...
La DO Ribera del Guadiana, 2 wine cellars of Extremadura and 1 wine cellar of DO Toro are the first to apply this system.
Once the new prototype machine for marking stoppers with laser technology was presented at the last Almendralejo Wine and Olive Fair in March, we can say that this technology is beginning to be applied to the productive process.
These wine cellars in Extremadurs, BODEGAS TORIBIO (VIÑA PUEBLA),COOP SAN MARCOS and wines which will use the D.O. RIBERA DEL GUADIANA to promote their wines, together with BODEGAS VIÑAGUAREÑA of D.O. Toro have been the first to use this system. According to Mr. Toribio, from Viña Puebla, " In Actual fact this is how the stoppers have always been marked, by fire, but now they have a much better definition and with more possibilities for different markings and traceability of each stopper"
This type of marking has already been acknowledged as one of the best advances in the sector due to the fact that in addition to more definition and personalisation , it will allow, in the long term, the elimination of ink in the productive process of marking stoppers.
The acceptance of this new system has been good within the cork sector, but above all it has been well raccepted by numerous wine cellars where is has been demonstrated.
Due to the results of the investment in Vinico's Research and Development, digital marking or by laser are now a tangible reality. it is now possible to uncork laser- marked high quality stoppers.
